Replacing this dilapidated cottage that seemed to be deteriorating both above and below was the primary objective of the family embarking on this architectural journey. The essence of their vision was to transform this crumbling relic into a sleek, contemporary single-storey dwelling that would breathe new life into the surroundings.

Through the Pre-App process again, it was proposed that the predominantly equestrian buildings and courtyard style buildings found locally would be a good route to take.
This house wasn't really a home but the old adage of 'location, location, location' meant that the client wanted to achieve the brand new home feel whilst using most of the existing fabric.
The overarching goal of the project is to offer comfortable, modern living spaces while prioritising environmental preservation and minimising ecological disruption in the green belt area. Situated within the designated green belt zone, the housing development will be meticulously planned to ensure minimal impact on existing ecosystems, while maximising access to green spaces for residents.
